I looked and looked for a unit to hold my iPhone in the car while using GPS. I got this one because it would fit in the vent. Well, I am using it on the windshield because I can’t figure out how to hook it to my vent without it being permanent. On the windshield it works GREAT! I’ve had it up, stuck using the suction cup, for almost a month and it doesn’t lose suction and fall down.
I would highly recommend this product if you want a windshield phone holder. If you are looking for a more permanent vent attachment, it will also work. If you want to ever take it off your vent, I imagine it would take some special tools.

Holds the phone well and stays on windshield well. Have not tried it with vent clips. The length of the arm is good and places the phone in a accesable location. One draw back is that the windshield mount arm isn’t too sturdy and shakes a lot.

|Well, it works….,
Bought this as a back up and wanted to try the vent option as my current mount does not have that option. Unfortunately the vent option doesn’t work with vents in my car. Would advise against if you have a smaller vent or a vent that is recessed in any way. Window mount option works as expected.
